Sutton Place Goes Completely Wireless

The Sutton Place Hotel, a luxury business hotel, has expanded their high-speed wireless Internet service provided by Deep Blue Wireless. The hotel is presently the only hotel in Newport Beach allowing guests with wireless-enabled laptops to access the Internet throughout the property's public areas, including the lobby, Accents Restaurant, bars, pool, meeting spaces, as well as in all of the guestrooms.

Each of the meeting rooms has T-1 capabilities at 1.544 mega-bytes per second. Users are presently charged a minimal fee by the day or a flat monthly fee for unlimited usage. The service requires a wireless enabled laptop computer or a Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b PC card, which can be purchased or rented at the front desk of the hotel for the client’s laptop computer.

“This service represents a unique opportunity for a full-service luxury property to distinguish itself from others in its class” said Alan Gale, CEO of Deep Blue Wireless. “Our goal is to provide widespread wireless Internet connectivity allowing people the freedom to work wherever they desire, and not be encumbered by wires or low-speed unreliable connections.”
