Hanover sell-off starts

Six hotels in the Hanover International chain have been put up for sale following the purchase of the company by a property company. The six hotels are being sold either individually or as a group with around £27m expected to be the sale price in total.

Petchey Holdings is selling the hotels after its sister company Trefick bought Hanover and delisted it from the stock market. The hotels are in Ashbourne; Keynsham; Bristol; Cardiff Bay; Dunstable; Harpenden; and Skipton.

The larger hotels in Hanover are expected to be sold shortly and these are most likely to end up with a large hotelier such as Macdonald Hotels.
