Marston buys £16m Cheshire hotel

Family-owned independent hotel group Marston has bought the four-star Crewe Hall hotel in Cheshire for a rumoured £16m.

The 65-bedroom country house hotel has recently added a further 39 bedrooms to the hotel through the addition of a “west wing” and features 18 conference and function rooms with space for from four to 240 people. A dozen of the rooms are licensed for civil weddings.

The hotel also has three restaurants including the two AA-rosette Ranulph restaurant. Marston owns and operates 16 three- and four-star hotels and hopes to increase its portfolio to about 20 properties.
