Armani plans London hotel as part of new global chain

Fashion chain Armani is to open 10 hotels around the world, including one in London, and four luxury resorts, after striking a deal reportedly worth $1b ...

At least six of them open within the next five years. The hotels will be sited in London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Milan and Dubai.

Emaar will build and manage the hotels, while Armani will oversee the interior decoration, design and style.An Armani management company is also to be set-up as part of the agreement.

Georgio Armani said: 'We have been exploring the idea of bringing the Armani philosophy of design and style to hotels for many years.'
