Mac Donald's invests £11m in redeveloping North-west hotels

Macdonald Hotels is investing more than £11m in redeveloping four of its hotels located in the North-west of England.It will spend £2.5m overhauling the leisure club at the Kilhey Court hotel near Wigan and building a new function suite by next summer.A further £4m will be spent on the Macdonald Tickled Trout, near Preston, adding 30 bedrooms and a new conference and business centre.

The Norton Grange in Rochdale is also to have £4m invested, on 42 new bedrooms and a health and leisure club, and the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, near Blackburn, will have six new conference suites added at a cost of £700,000.The group estimates that the developments will generate an additional 50 full- and part-time jobs.
