UK revpar up by 10% in first half of 2004

London led the way as occupancy levels rose by 5% and the average room rate rose by £7 to £105. Revpar for the period reached £86, a 13% increase on the first half of 2003.

Deloitte expects the UK’s recovery to continue, with London exceeding the previous highs seen in 2000/2001 by the end of 2005.

In the provinces improved occupancy rates helped revpar rise by 7% to more than £42, with the fastest increase in rate coming in June.
