Orbis wants to add budget-class hotels

By the end of this week, Orbis will present a binding offer for the purchase of Polish hotels owned by Accor. If the transaction falls through, Accor will probably withdraw from direct operations in Central and Eastern Europe.

The purchase means a venture into a new market segment for Orbis, which is no longer interested in investing in luxury hotels. It plans to introduce a new Accor brand into the Polish market - a network of one-star cheap Etap hotels.
