New record seen in Kenya's tourism

The number of tourists visiting Kenya has risen by a record 25 percent during the past four months, local newspaper Daily Nation reported Friday. The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) was quoted as saying that the total number of tourists recorded in the four months stands at 197, 032 compared with 154,652 in the same period last year.

The KTB attributed the record rise to Kenya's aggressive tourism market and tourists' renewed interest in Kenya, which has been brought by the peaceful political transition in the country.
